The Forest of Hands and Teeth

I've been reading ferociously all year, but haven't taken the time to blog about the books I've read. Shame one me! Well, here is one of the best with more reviews to come very soon-

The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan is one of my favorites.

Mary and her friends and family are safe as long as they remain inside the fence that surrounds their village. If they venture outside the fence they are in danger of getting bitten by the Unconsecrated - the undead who just "live" to feast on living people. One day, the Unconsecrated breech the fence and Mary and her friends must escape - but to where? The only place they know is their village; is anything else outside their village? And they must not fall victim to the Unconsecrated. I devoured this book (oh, just got the pun!) in just a night or two. Beware: this novel is not for the faint of heart!

The author has a great Web site and book trailer here: http://www.carrieryan.com/
