Wish You Were Dead by Todd Strauser

Wow, what a riveting book! I think I inhaled this one - read it in two sittings. I should warn you, however, this book may be too violent and unsettling for some readers. If you do pick this book up, be sure to begin reading when you have enough time because you won't want to put it down.

Madison, the main character, is wealthy, popular, and just getting to know the new guy in school.  However, her life is quickly becoming unraveled. She is being cyber-stalked, and in addition to that, her two best friends are missing.

We are also told the story from the point of view of an anonymous blogger - the blogger is someone who is ignored and bullied in school to the extent that on her blog she writes that she wishes that some popular students were dead. Days later each student disappears.

Is someone reading her blog and carrying out her wishes?

Naomi Bates, a media specialist from Northwestern High School, has a terrific book trailer on her blog. Check it out!  http://naomibates.blogspot.com/search/label/booktrailer
