My Most Excellent Year by Steve Kluger

Wow, what a book - I loved this one! My Most Excellent Year is told from three different points of view - Augie, T.C. and Ale are all high school students  who are dealing with their sexuality, adoption, and figuring out who they really are. This novel was both funny and heart-warming: I read it in two days and couldn't wait to sit down and continue reading.

Parts of this book are written in journal format, emails, and IMs - a format that keeps things interesting. Although the parents in the book are less important characters, I loved the way they interacted with each other and their children - too often, adults are portrayed as clueless and ineffectual.

Read this one!!
