The Defense of Thaddeus A. Ledbetter by John Gosselink

If you liked A Diary of a Wimpy Kid, then you need to read this book. The Defense of Thaddeus A. Ledbetter is written a for the more sophisticated reader but is just as funny. Thaddeus, a seventh grader at Crooked Creek Middle School, has in-school suspension for the rest of the school year for a "crime" he says he didn't commit. Written as a series of journal entries, letters, and forms, Thaddeus is trying to prove his innocence to his principal and his school.

If you're tired of reading all the "end of the world as we know it" books, and just want to sit back and laugh, then this is the book for you!

Here's a book trailer that is WAY different than usual:

  1. Must have this immediately! Need more funny books; totally done with dystopia for a while!

  2. Yes, I really enjoyed this one! I,too, am taking a break from dystopian fiction for a while - at least until another intriguing one comes along...
