Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler

Nothing is going right in Delilah's life. She doesn't get along with her mother, she has a boyfriend, but she only feels sexual attraction to him - no real connection, and she must return to Red Falls for the summer for her grandmother's funeral.

Delilah has happy memories of Red Falls where she and Ricky, the boy next door, were inseperable friends. But, now Ricky is all grown-up and although they haven't seen each other in years, can they still be friends or is there something more going on?

Delilah's family is full of secrets which are slowly unfolded throughout the book. Her mother, aunt, and grandmother haven't told her the whole truth about a lot of things.

This would make a great summer read. Not a book you want to tear through, but a story that can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace as you get to know the characters and the secrets they hold.
