The Heartbreak Messenger by Alexander Vance

Quentin is a good student, good friend, and mostly blends into the background at his school. That is until he becomes "the heartbreak messenger."

When Quentin thinks his mom desperately needs money he agrees to become a messenger for teenagers who don't want to break up face-to-face with their romantic counterparts. At first, Quentin is understandably nervous, but he finds out he is actually very good at this. He develops a business plan- $20.00 for a basic breakup and $40.00 for flowers and candy to be delivered to soften the blow.

It isn't until he needs to deliver a message to one of his best friends that Quentin begins to question his business.

This is a light, fun novel that will appeal to our 7th grade students.
