Davy has the "kill gene." Yesterday she was the pretty, popular, girlfriend to a hot guy, and a music prodigy looking forward to graduating from high school and attending Julliard, but once Davy's HTS tests come back with her results, everything changes.
Davy is a carrier of the violence gene and now everyone is afraid of her. Her prep school expels her, Julliard takes back her acceptance, her boyfriend ditches her in front of everyone - in short, her whole life changes in a day.
She must now attend the public high school but isn't allowed to mingle with the regular students. Davy's education takes place with other carriers in the room everyone calls the cage. There she meets Sean, another carrier just like her, but he also has the "brand" H tattooed on his neck because of some violent act he committed.
I read this book in one day - it was riveting! This is the first book in a two-part series, so at the end there is much left to be resolved and explained. There is also violence and some sexual innuendos, so I would definitely recommend this book for mature readers. This sure was a wild ride that brings up many questions for readers. Just what are we capable of? Can anyone be pushed into committing violence?
